Upper Providence Enhances Park Offerings with New Recreation Center

The new Community Recreation Center at Anderson Farm Park in Collegeville is now open for business! Designed to integrate into the existing topography, the building is similar to a “bank-barn” in that each level has grade access. The two-story, 13,000-square-foot building offers a gymnasium and meeting room on the upper level, as well as a multi-purpose room, climbing wall, fitness center, common areas, kitchen and offices on the lower level. Anderson Farm Park is a 60-plus-acre park that currently includes baseball and soccer fields, a walking trail, picnic areas and parking. Kimmel Bogrette also worked with the Township on a master planning study for the community’s municipal facilities at Black Rock Park. After laying out options for renovations and new buildings at the Black Rock Campus, Kimmel Bogrette proceeded to design development on a new Township Administration Building, a transformation of the existing Municipal / Police building into a state-of-the-art Police facility, and the design of additions and renovations to the Public Works building.
