Lake Naomi Club Community Center Celebrates Grand Opening

Lake Naomi Club – Timber Trails in the Poconos celebrated the grand opening of its newly built Community Recreation Center on Saturday, May 26, 2007. Kimmel Bogrette designed the new Community Center to fulfill the private resort community’s need for expanded recreational space for its members. A significant increase in residents motivated the community to build a new facility that will provide year-round activity space as well as a place for summer children’s programs and evening recreational activities for teenagers. The 48,500-square-foot facility on 17 acres will help Lake Naomi Club remain competitive with other Poconos developments while increasing the value of membership for residents. Kimmel Bogrette created a lodge motif for the community/family room, around which the recreational spaces are centered. Comfortable chairs and sofas are positioned near a massive, stone fireplace and set within a warm and relaxing interior that includes stone walls, flowing water and heavy timber ceiling beams. Indoor spaces consist of a swimming pool, a gym with indoor tennis and basketball courts, activity rooms, an arts-and-crafts room, locker rooms, a reading room/library, an aerobics/yoga room, a full-service fitness center, snack bar and kitchen, offices and a game room. New outdoor spaces include a pavilion for group activities such as ice skating and movie nights; a multipurpose field for baseball and soccer; tennis, basketball and volleyball courts; a tot lot; dog park; and a parking lot.
