Kimmel Bogrette Architecture + Site is proud to announce that Joe Horan, project designer and manager, recently passed his ARE exam and has become a licensed architect in Pennsylvania. This latest accomplishment follows Joe’s success in becoming a LEED Accredited Professional in 2009. Joe was the project architect for the very successful, recently completed Manheim Township Public Library in Lancaster, PA, and is now working on a renovation of the original, award-winning Tredyffrin Township Public Library designed by Mitchell Giurgola. He has used his knowledge of sustainable practices on other firm projects such as the Spring Mill Assisted-Living Residence at Coldstream Crossing, a new Cape May Convention Hall, and a new Administration and Public Works Complex for Hanover Township in Allentown. Another of Joe’s projects, The Tot Time Daycare Center in Bensalem, PA, will be submitted for LEED Silver certification. For Forks Township in Easton, PA, Joe is currently working on a new Park Master Plan, as well as a new Public Works facility on the same site that will be a good neighbor to the park by being partially hidden under a sloping green roof. Joe is also currently working on a new headquarters building for the Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale. Joe has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia. A member of the Delaware Valley Green Building Council, Joe has volunteered for the Community Design Collaborative of Philadelphia and has been a Guest Studio Critic for the Architecture Program at Drexel.
