Joe Horan (Right) Joins David Bertram as a LEED Accredited Professional
Kimmel Bogrette Architecture + Site is proud to announce that Joe Horan, project manager, recently passed the LEED AP accreditation exam. LEED is an internationally recognized certification system that provides building owners and operators with a framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions. Joe joins David Bertram, project designer, as a LEED Accredited Professional at Kimmel Bogrette. David is a member of the Delaware Valley Green Building Council and, as an adjunct professor at Drexel University, he has developed and teaches courses on “Sustainable Design & Construction” and “Sustainable Communities.” Both Joe and Dave have used their knowledge of sustainable practices on firm projects such as the Manheim Township Public Library, Spring Mill Assisted-Living Residence at Coldstream Crossing, a new Cape May Convention Hall, Lecture Hall Renovations at Rutgers University, and Residence Hall Renovations at The College of New Jersey, among others. Joe and Dave are working together on the Tot Time Daycare Center in Bensalem, PA, which will be submitted for LEED Silver certification (see next pages).
