Millersville Borough Celebrates Opening of Administration & Police Facility
On June 30, 2007, Millersville Borough celebrated with a building dedication ceremony for its new Borough Office Building, designed by Kimmel Bogrette Architecture + Site. When this Lancaster County borough outgrew its current facilities, Kimmel Bogrette was asked to design a new Administrative and Police Building. The new 12,200-square-foot structure will provide Borough employees with improved infrastructure and much-needed space to accommodate a growing staff, which has doubled over the years. The building encompasses Administrative, Public and Police areas and helps to reorganize each department to make it more efficient. The building is located in the heart of the Borough, and the design respects the town’s history while providing a modern image that looks toward the future. The exterior incorporates a rural theme with a contemporary arrangement of building sections, roof peaks, colors and materials that helps to break up the potential monotony of such a long structure.
