New Stadium Rises as Part of Lincoln University Campus Reorganization
Construction is progressing on major campus improvements at Lincoln University that will add athletic fields and facilities, correct parking and circulation problems, and create a more cohesive identity for the whole campus. As part of this $24 million campus-wide project, Kimmel Bogrette designed a new football stadium, support buildings, field and track that are now rising out of the ground to provide Lincoln's relatively new football program with an enhanced identity and a boost in spirit. Lincoln reinstated its football program in 2008 after not having a team for 48 years. Kimmel Bogrette designed the stadium, as well as a storage facility and field house, to mesh with the aesthetic direction of the redesigned campus.
