Mountain Lake Community Due for a Fitting New Municipal Building

Towamensing Township, near Lehighton, PA, is working with Kimmel Bogrette to design a new municipal campus that is fitting of its location on the shores of the Beltzville Lake State Park in the Poconos. Spaces in the new building will include Township administration offices, a Zoning and Planning office, Lobby, and a Public Meeting Room with a mountain lodge feel centered around a fireplace. A flexible Community Multipurpose Room will be able to accommodate 150 people for public meetings and other events. The Township and Kimmel Bogrette are investigating a number of green building options that might include solar panels, wind turbines, geothermal heating and cooling, green roofs, and rain / grey water reclamation.
